About the Job
Position Summary:
The Audiologist will assist our providers in diagnosing, evaluating and treating hearing and balance disorders. The Audiologist will perform pure tone and speech audiometry, emittance testing, OAEs, VNG, as well as ABR testing. Other responsibilities will include gathering history from patients, conduct audiometric testing, counsel patients, and make recommendations for hearing aids. The Audiologist will provide comprehensive hearing evaluations, hearing aid fittings, counseling for hearing loss and hearing loss prevention. Along with diagnostic testing will make ear impressions, ear molds, and order instruments, program hearing aids, and will fit hearing aids and assist with any adjustments, questions or problems. The Audiologist must be willing to coordinate alternate housing within the facility in advance of shifts when inclement weather potential threatens the ability to get to the facility. The Audiologist may be required to report back to work during any emergency situation i.e. mass casualty, internal disaster, etc.

Education:
- Master’s degree (MSN) in Audiology required.
- Doctorate in Audiology preferred.
- Previous Audiology experience in an office environment preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Current licensure as an Audiologist in the State of South Carolina in good standing (SCLLR) required.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with nursing colleagues, physicians, department heads, and member of executive leadership required.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Explorer and PowerPoint required.
- Exemplary core customer service skills strongly required.
- Strong organizational skills required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in all situations required.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment in emergency situations required.
