Our organization is seeking a seasoned Permanent Audit Manager to join our dynamic finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced professional who is looking to take their career to the next level. The Audit Manager will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the company's audit functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring they are conducted in line with the company's audit methodology and professional standards.
2. Review and evaluate the effectiveness of the company's internal control systems and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks.
3. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant financial reporting standards.
4. Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing exceptional client service and contributing to new business development efforts.
5. Prepare and present clear, concise and comprehensive audit reports to management and external stakeholders.
6. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior audit staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
7. Work closely with other departments to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develop/implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues.
8. Stay abreast of industry trends and regulations to ensure the company is in compliance and able to respond swiftly to changes in the environment.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. A Master’s degree would be an added advantage.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional qualification is mandatory.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial auditing, with a strong understanding of audit techniques, internal controls, and risk management.
4. Proven experience in client-facing roles, with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
5. Demonstrated experience in business development, with a track record of contributing to the growth of an organization.
6. Proficiency in GAAP and other relevant financial reporting standards.
7. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
8. Excellent leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
9. High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to upholding ethical standards.
10. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions under pressure.
