PURPOSE: The Automation Tech Intern will assist the ESS team with various research, development, documentation, basic project and general technical tasks. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, self-starter with a desire to learn and grow in the field of automation.
Qualifications:- Motivated, self-starter, with a willingness to grow and learn new skills.
- Basic computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Currently studying in a technical or engineering related field.
- Reasoning, analytical, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work well in a goal oriented, team environment.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Experience with AutoCad or other design software.
- Monitor and apply safety standards to maintain a safe working environment
- Assist with research tasks for new technology, component research, vendor information, etc.
- Assist with general documentation tasks centered around project development, project management, data collection, etc.
- Handle basic project related and engineering tasks as needed.
- Support the ESS teams as needed.
