YOUR DAY AS AN AUTOMOTIVE COLLISION ESTIMATOR

As an Automotive Collision Estimator, your day starts with greeting customers promptly, assessing their needs, and delivering top-notch customer service. You inspect and evaluate damaged vehicles to create accurate repair estimates. After inspection, you explain the repair process to customers, including insurance claims, payment procedures, repair techniques, and delivery dates.

With a focus on achieving a 75% closing ratio, you schedule repairs and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, ensuring a minimum CSI/NPS score of 81%. You also foster positive relationships with insurance agents, dealerships, and fleet accounts, keeping all parties informed about repair statuses. Quality assurance is key, as you inspect all completed repairs before vehicle delivery, attend daily release meetings, and handle other duties as assigned. THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO BE CONSIDERED:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience as a collision estimator or insurance appraiser
• Experience with damage analysis, hybrid vehicles, restraint systems, electrical systems, and identifying hail, theft, and vandalism damage
• Proficiency with collision management systems (ABSe and Mitchell Repair Center), estimating software (ADP, Mitchell, and CCC-1), and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Strong sales and negotiation skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• I-CAR training or other industry training
