About the Job
Murdock Auto Team is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist with 2 years of Accounts Payable and 2 years of Accounting experience!
Previous dealership experience working in accounting and/or office work will be given stronger consideration.
Job duties will be Accounts payable transactions (processing, payments, vendor upkeep, etc.), process paperwork and payments for rebates from car deals, act as cashier for service and parts departments, general office duties.
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9 am - 6 pm.
Tasks:
- Accounts Payable and Accounting duties.
- Working in an office to process payments and balance accounts.
- Confer with guests and vendors by telephone or in person to provide information about accounts that need to be paid during the normal accounting processes.
- Report to the controller any exceptions to normal payment processes and work to improve efficiency in the payment processes as well as reduce expenses by avoiding duplicate payments.
- Keep records organized and payments monitored efficiently, monitor financial interactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as actions taken.
- Ensure that guests, vendors, and co-workers are being treated with respect through company accounting processes and proactively refer unresolved customer needs to designated departments or to dealership managers for further investigation.
- Direct guests with inquiries guest waiting areas, restrooms, offices, and/or to communicate services available for guests of the Murdock Auto Team.
- Follow-up with guests to determine if their needs were met and they experience was the best quality.

Experience And Education:
Accounts Payable experience or willingness to learn accounts payable skill. High School diploma or GED. Experience in customer service, Excel spreadsheets, and MicroSoft Office. Excellent communication and time management skills. Must be able to work as a team member in a fast paced environment. Must minimum of 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk; sit; use hands, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Need ability to move around the dealership. The employee may be required to lift up to 25 pounds. Work is performed at a desk in an office setting and walking throughout the dealership showroom and lot.
