Automotive Parts Consultant - Specialist - Ingersoll Automotive

Our growing family-owned dealership is looking for a knowledgeable Parts Specialist to join our team. In this role, your primary job is to maintain our in-store inventory based on the most common service needs of our guests as well as our service technicians. You provide estimates on the cost of parts to guests before ordering them and complete detailed purchase orders so that we can reconcile our accounts. Our ideal candidate has experience with automotive parts and repair and a working understanding of various vehicle components.

Parts Specialist Duties and Responsibilities

• Help maintain our parts inventory

• Locate parts using our computer system

• Order out-of-stock items

• Provide cost estimates

• Issue purchase orders to external suppliers

• Assist with invoicing and payment processing

  
  

Parts Specialist Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)

• Industry experience (preferred)

• Mechanical knowledge or repair experience

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Basic computer skills

• Customer service skills

• Other tasks associated with the parts and service team
