Automotive Store Manager
A client company of gpac’s, is seeking a qualified Automotive Store Manager to join their team. Come join a reputable independent automotive shop with nearly 50 years of experience in the industry! Our client company is a family-owned and operated business dedicated to providing exceptional service. Our client is looking for a motivated, customer-oriented, and energetic Automotive Store Manager to become part of their dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
Sales:
- Build repair estimates based on technicians' recommendations.
- Present options to customers, overcoming objections as needed.
- Price jobs accurately and limit discounting to meet gross margin goals.
- Attain weekly, monthly, and yearly sales targets.
- Ensure technicians follow all inspection and safety procedures.
- Maintain shop payroll within company budget.
- Strive to say “yes” to every customer.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Bay management:
- Source required parts for repair orders.
- Ensure the appearance of staff, as well as the interior and exterior of the shop, meets company standards.
- Manage accounts receivable and payable.
- Oversee inventory management.
- Handle staffing and scheduling.
- Enforce company policies and guidelines.
- Manage technician training and development.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Associate degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years in automotive service, sales, and customer service required.
- At least 3 years of experience managing a team of 4 or more preferred.
- Proven track record of sales growth.
- Working knowledge of automotive repairs, with the ability to assist and train technicians as needed.
- Strong customer service skills with a commitment to saying “yes” to every customer.
- Ability to source required parts for repair orders.
- Capability to manage technician training and development.
- An ambitious mindset focused on success.
- Must be able to work Saturday’s
- Valid Driver's License with a clean motor vehicle record; must pass any pre employment requirements
