Job Description:
We are seeking a Manual QA Tester to assist in the implementation and quality assurance of new software solutions tailored to the aerospace industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and executing test plans, identifying and documenting bugs, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the successful deployment of Flight Operations and Aircraft Maintenance software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document test requirements for the implementation of new software.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases, including functional, regression, and integration tests.
- Execute manual test cases and document results, ensuring that software meets the defined requirements and quality standards.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and issues, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring that quality standards are met throughout the development lifecycle.
- Conduct analysis of test results and provide insights and recommendations for improvements and optimizations.
- Occasionally travel to Oklahoma City for planning meetings and team exercises (approximately once every 2-3 months).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Manual QA Tester, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Strong understanding of aviation maintenance domain knowledge is mandatory.
- Experience with Flight Operations, including scheduling and routing, is preferred.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and remotely, with occasional travel as required.
Preferred Background:
- Prior experience in airline carriers, aviation/defense manufacturers, or private charter airlines is highly desirable.
