Job Title: Bodyshop Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Bodyshop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our auto body repair facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and management, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and fostering a positive work environment. As the Bodyshop Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring the efficiency of repair processes, maintaining high customer satisfaction, and meeting financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management: Lead, train, and supervise bodyshop staff including technicians, estimators, and support personnel. Create a motivated and productive team environment.
- Operations: Oversee all aspects of bodyshop operations to ensure effective workflow and high-quality repairs. Monitor repair processes and schedules to ensure timely completion of all jobs.
- Customer Service: Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair processes, estimates, and timelines. Resolve any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Financial Oversight: Manage the bodyshop budget, including labor costs, materials, and equipment. Set and monitor sales goals and work to achieve profitability targets.
- Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control standards to ensure repairs meet industry standards and safety guidelines. Conduct regular inspections of completed work.
- Inventory Management: Ensure adequate inventory levels of parts and supplies. Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing and maintain quality standards.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure that the bodyshop complies with all local, state, and federal regulations, including safety and environmental regulations. Promote a culture of safety within the shop.
- Performance Metrics: Track performance metrics and prepare reports for management. Analyze data to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
- years of experience in automotive body repair, also in a management role.
- Strong knowledge of body shop operations, repair processes, and automotive technology.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and achieve financial targets.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Proficient in using repair estimation software and shop management systems.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
