About the Job
To operate and set-up and tear down a variety of press brakes to perform forming operations on all types of material. Must be able to set up and operate automatic back gauges and forming rolls with minimal training.
2ND Shift: MONDAY-THURSDAY 2:30PM 1AM with mandatory OT that can extend the M-F work hours up to 10 hours and also requires every other Saturday as needed to meet production needs.
2ND Shift
Will train on 1st shift
Run 2 brake presses and make a good part.
Must be able to pass blueprint/measuring test.
Responsibilities:
Must be able to read and understand blueprints and routings and produce parts from their information to the required tolerances.
Responsible for the quality of the parts being produced and perform first piece inspection and subsequent inspections to ensure overall quality.
Responsible for taking care of routine maintenance and keeping the work area clean and neat.
Follow all safety rules regarding machine operation and proper machine guarding.
Maintain simple reports on productivity, quality, and safety.
Punch Press and Brake Department Required Tooling List:
Per article X, section "K" of the contract, these tools must be acquired within the prescribed time period in order for the employee to be classified.
Allen Wrench Set (1/16 inch sizes)
Machinist Square (12 or 24 inch)
Tape Measure (12 foot)
Calipers (8 inch minimum, Dial or Digital)
Center Punch
Scriber
Ball Peen Hammer
15/16-inch Combination Wrench (Punch Press only)
Protractor (Press Brake only)
Large Screwdriver (Press Brake only)
Tool Box for the above tools.
Incentive Bonus:
New Hire Incentive Bonus: $1000 in 3 payments ($200 @ 3 mo.S - $400 @ 6 mo.S - $400 @ 12 mo.S)* Can't have any disciplines in that quarter.
Granted the employee has no write-up in the quarter, they would get the following payments:
$200 after 3 months
$400 after 6 months
$400 after 12 months
Reports to: Production SupervisorQualifications:
Possess and be able to use machinist squares, dial calipers, protractors, and other inspection equipment to ensure the quality of the parts being produced. Must be equipped with all the required tools to perform the functions of their job.
Physical ability to do work requiring frequent standing and bending, as well as lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 30 lbs. Frequently.
Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and prepare simple production reports.
Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts.
Sufficient manual dexterity to operate the equipment properly.Qualifications:
