Backend Web Developers will support the design, development, and management of custom applications and supporting infrastructure through work in web development or DevOps engineering. These positions are located in the Design and Development section of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's Technology and Innovation office.
Responsibilities
As a Backend Web Developer - Pathways Recent Graduate, you will:
- Develop, modify, and enhance products, services, and systems in the fields of software engineering and DevOps.
- Provide functional support in software engineering and lead in IT projects and initiatives.
- Develop, create, maintain, and write/code new (or modify existing) computer applications, software, or specialized utility programs, primarily in Python or JavaScript.
- Apply forward-thinking design and development principles - such as lean startup, user centered design, and agile development - in product development and program management.
- Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
