About the Job
We currently have an opportunity for a Bankruptcy Paralegal with a growing law firm in the Wilmington, Delaware area (zip code 19801). This is a hybrid position - 50% from home and 50% in the office per week.
Position responsibilities are:
- Provide support to attorneys for bankruptcy cases as well as client support
- Assist with document preparation including pleadings, petitions, and resolutions
- Collate information and exhibits for motions, proofs of claim, notices and applications
- Review and edit documents as well as charts, diagrams, and graphs
- Prepare quarterly fee applications as well as monthly fee statements
- Prepare and process e-filing
- Conduct bankruptcy searches using various databases and docket results
- Maintain working group lists and case calendars
- Research and update precedent in first and second-day pleadings filed
- Follow-up on the status of bankruptcy cases and docket relevant information
- Correspond with creditors, clients, and other parties regarding cases and partner with other practice groups and offices on matters related to restructuring cases
Position requirements are:
- Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate preferred but not required
- At least 4 years of experience as a Paralegal working on bankruptcy and commercial litigation cases
- Strong technical skills - Proficiency in MS Office, Pater, and Adobe
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- A team player with demonstrated ability to multi-task
- Excellent communication and client relations skills
