Position Description Summary:
We are seeking flexible and dedicated Banquet Servers for both AM and PM shifts to support our private downtown club events. As a key part of our team, you’ll provide exceptional, professional service to our members and guests during private breakfasts, luncheons, and dinners. A positive attitude, professionalism, and teamwork are essential qualities for this role.
Directly reports to the Banquet Captain and/or Banquet Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assures that all state and local laws and club policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages are consistently followed.
- Knowledge of and ability to perform the required role during emergencies.
- Set up and clean banquet rooms and serve banquets.
- Performs related banquet set-up tasks.
- Provides immediate attention to all members and guests upon greeting them.
- Takes beverage orders and serves food in a specified station.
- Pours and refills wine, coffee, water, and other beverages served with and after the meal.
- Clears soiled dishes as needed.
- Cleans all assigned work areas in the kitchen and banquet areas.
- Advises supervisor of any member or guest complaints as soon as they occur.
- Assists in closing functions such as removing linen, bussing glasses, dishes, silverware, etc., and re-setting the room for the next function.
- Attends staff meetings including pre-shift sessions.
- Consistently follows all food safety-related requirements.
- Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Banquet Captain.
- Adherence to schedules and attendance at all service staff meetings.
- To work well as a team member with the entire club staff.
- Operate under all guidelines, policies, standards, and constraints as set forth by the Pacific Club.
- Other duties as required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to carry trays of food.
- Ability to open wine bottles.
- Standing on feet for up to 8 hours.
- Continuous repetitive motions.
- Work in a hot, humid, and noisy environment.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Fine dining experience and wine knowledge are preferred.
Licenses and Special Requirements:
- TB test & liquor license yellow card (upon employment).
- The Pacific Club supports a DRUG-FREE work environment. Passing a drug pre-screening test is required for hiring.

Pay Rate:
- Rate: $17-19 per hour based on experience + 2% pool of banquet food sales commission paid monthly.
- Hourly, non-exempt position.
Work Hours:
- Shift Availability: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner shifts.
- Employment Options: Part-time and on-call positions available.
- Full-Time Potential: Full-time hours may be offered based on availability and club needs.
