SALARY RANGE: $10.00 per hour plus Tips if applicable
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Barback is responsible for the designated service area and to assist bar/service staff with set-up and clean up of all areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

Licenses or Certificates: Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits.

POSITION PURPOSE:
The Barback is responsible for the designated service area and to assist bar/service staff with set-up and clean up of all areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
- Must be able to follow proper payroll and uniform procedures.
- Responsible for assisting the bartenders in mixing drink orders for patrons.
- Responsible for cleaning designated areas, in accordance with policies and procedures, morning/evening routines and hygiene requirements.
- Responsible for stocking private bar carts, clipboard and uniform.
- Must be able to clean all private bars, private bar carts, and storerooms.
- Must possess the ability to stock all necessary items for the bar (i.e. glasses, mixing equipment, etc.)
- Must have the ability to slice and prepare all fruit garnishes.
- Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
- Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the organization. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
- Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Cipriani rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the facilities. Employees who violate rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions:
- Maintains a good and effective working relationship with management, and shows willingness to support any necessary change developments of the services provided.
- Protects restaurant by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.

- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Must have knowledge of the city, particularly tourist attractions.
- Must have the ability to communicate clear directions to nearby local attractions, facilities, and services.
- Ability to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately and safely.
- Ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.
- Ability to walk, stand, and continuously perform essential functions for an extended period of time.
- Auditory and visual abilities to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:
- Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by facility environmental systems.
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the restaurant on a timely basis.
- Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 100lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with customers, supervisors and other employees.
- Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
- Must be able to carry & lift at least 50lbs.
