What is a Behavior Interventionist?
- This is a client-specific case with extensive behavioral needs. Supported Living Services allow individuals with developmental disabilities to live in their own homes in the community, while developing independent living skills, creating meaningful relationships, and participating as active members in their families and communities.
- Client's location is in Pico Rivera, and its surroundings.
Ideal Candidates:
- Someone with intensive behavioral experience, or who trained in behavior management and/or ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis)
- DSP-1 and DSP02 preferred
- Individuals who love working with adults, elderly, and helping individuals
- Students studying Psychology, Occupational Therapy or Human Development, or related fields
- Caregivers
- Direct Support Professionals
- Respite Workers
- Paraprofessionals
- LNA/CNA
- Nursing home facilitators, Program administrators
Requirements
- Able to support clients in their daily routines; including, but not limited to, nutrition, self-care, social, recreational, personal relationships, money management, etc.
- Provide emotional support
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
- Committed to health & safety
- Well-organized and reliable
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Positive and compassionate attitude
- Strong ethics
- Physical stamina
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. or physically assist individual
- (Willing to be) CPR/First-Aid certified
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver’s license
- Own a reliable vehicle
Important Details
- Part-Time
- Monday/Friday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm w/ additional day(s) in-between
- Must have own reliable vehicle to transport clients
- Must be willing to take public transportation
- Hourly rate: $27/hour
