Behavior Support Assistant (Full-time) - LEARN Behavioral

Trellis School is hiring a Behavior Support Assistant.  The Behavior Support Assistant performs a variety of behavioral support duties to assist the building administrators, teachers, and staff in working with behavioral and emotionally challenged students in a school environment. Works under the day-to-day direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who provides specific directions and oversight.

The Trellis School  is a K-12 non-public school serving children with autism based in Sparks, MD (Baltimore County).  

• Respond to behavioral crises as part of school-wide crisis management procedures
• Providing hands-on assistance to individuals 5–21 years old diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities who also exhibit severe, problematic behaviors
• Under the direction of a BCBA, provides comprehensive support to assigned program personnel in the use of applied behavior analysis methodologies
• Implements behavior intervention plans and strategies
• Maintains appropriate documentation, records, and reports
• Complete mandatory trainings and attend required meetings
• Participate in regularly scheduled collaboration meetings with BCBA
• Work 1:1 with students
• Adhere to all company compliance policies, written or unwritten
• Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Requirements: 

• High School degree; Bachelor's preferred
• At least 3 years’ experience in a school setting with students with disabilities
