Behavioral Health Counselor - Outpatient - Ascension

We Are Hiring:

• Department:  Outpatient Behavioral Health
• Schedule:  Full-time, Monday, Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and  Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday,10:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. 
• Hospital: Ascension Mercy Medical Center
• Location: Aurora, Il

NOTE:   Master's degree Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology is required to perform the duties of this job

 

What You Will Do:

Provide behavioral health counseling services.

• Conduct patient assessments and establish therapy treatment goals.
• Administer individual and group therapy.
• Maintain thorough and confidential records of observations.
• Evaluate progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.
• Provide patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.
• Work directly with the patient, family, physician and community providers to ensure active and collaborate care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge.

What You Will Need:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, Social Science, or Psychology required.

Additional Preferences:

Education:  Master's degree Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology is needed to perform the duties of this job

Salary Description:From $22.28 an hour
