Role: Temporary Benefits Specialist (Part-Time)
Pay Rate: $30-$40/hr
Duration: 2+ months could extend based on performance!
Location: Downtown Manhattan - *Onsite 2/3 days a week*
Job Description:
*Must understand benefits administration, enrollments, qualifying life events, and terminations*
- Supports benefit plan compliance related to Federal and State regulations including, Affordable Care Act (ACA) COBRA and HIPAA
- ACA on-going measurement & ACA reclassification experience needed.
- Ensure monthly ACA regulatory requirements are met by monitoring enrollment records, employee PT/FT status, plan affordability and minimum coverage standards as required under the ACA
- Effort requires knowledge of systems requirements/plan eligibility rules and understanding ACA regulations
- Supports the maintenance of the HRMS Benefits module including, system upgrades, plan updates and ad hoc reporting as needed to support the department
