Overview
The Bilingual Associate - French English plays a crucial role in facilitating effective communication and providing top-notch customer service to clients who speak both French and English. This position is essential for ensuring smooth and efficient interactions with French-speaking customers, contributing to overall customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Key responsibilities
Provide exceptional customer service to French-speaking clients, responding to inquiries and resolving issues fluently in both French and English.
Translate documents, emails, and other communication materials between French and English as needed.
Assist in the onboarding and training of new French-speaking clients, ensuring they have a seamless experience with the company’s products or services.
Collaborate with internal teams to relay feedback and insights gathered from French-speaking clients, contributing to product and service improvements.
Participate in meetings and discussions where French language skills are required, and aid in effective communication between English and French-speaking colleagues.
Act as a cultural liaison, providing insights and guidance on cultural nuances and sensitivities when interacting with French-speaking clients.
Handle administrative tasks related to French-speaking clients, such as documentation and record-keeping.
Assist in the development and maintenance of French-language resources and materials for internal and external use.
Stay updated on industry trends and language developments to ensure accurate and up-to-date communication with French-speaking clients.
Support marketing and sales efforts by creating and translating marketing materials, product descriptions, and other content into French.
Required qualifications
Fluency in both French and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
Proven experience in a customer service or client-facing role, with a track record of delivering high-quality service and support.
Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity, with the ability to navigate and respect cultural differences in communication and interaction.
Excellent translation skills, with the ability to accurately convey the meaning and tone of content between French and English.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport and trust with French-speaking clients.
Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software, with the ability to create and edit documents in both French and English.
Previous experience in a role requiring frequent interaction with French-speaking individuals or communities.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with a collaborative and positive attitude.
Degree in French language, linguistics, translation, or a related field is preferred.
