Title: Bilingual Clinic Receptionist
Reports to: Practice Manager
Position Overview:
The Clinic Bilingual Receptionist will orchestrate daily flow of a busy primary care and STI testing practice. The receptionist will work closely with front-office personnel, providers, and patient payer sources to ensure proper patient authorization. The receptionist should have good judgment, remain calm in the time of crisis, and spread warmth and kindness to our team and patients while managing a busy waiting room.

The receptionist will work closely with front-office personnel, providers, and patient payer sources to ensure proper patient authorization. The receptionist should have good judgment, remain calm in the time of crisis, and spread warmth and kindness to our team and patients while managing a busy waiting room.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Respond to patient questions or concerns according to company policies
- Manage sensitive patient information in accordance with HIPPA laws.
- Schedule, confirm, cancel, and reschedule appointments and follow up on no shows
- Accurately record and scan Ryan White visits at time of visit
- Answer multi-line phone system and reply or route accordingly
- Assist clients, front office, and medical team as needed
- Collect payments and detail them accurately in electronic medical record
- Coordinate Ryan White patient appointments with agency partners
- Ensure Ryan White and insured patients have active services prior to their appointment
- Follow rules and regulations of all federal, state, local and accrediting bodies
- Maintain a good working knowledge of Resource Center programs and contacts
- Maintain notes of patient conversations in the electronic Telehealth record
- Manage office email box by timely routing or replying to faxes and messages daily
- Manage the transfer of patient medical records
- Understand and clearly communicate Resource Center Health services and fees
- Understand and communicate patient copays, coinsurance, deductibles, and benefits
- Understand and communicate patient prescription information, patient assistance programs, and other prescription related concerns
- Validate insured patient payments based on CPT codes and insurance websites
- Verify and update patient demographics at time of check in
- Work with the reception team to maintain calendar for multiple providers and programs
- Verify and update patient ID, insurance, photo, and other required consent forms
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Experience in healthcare office with customer service experience preferred
- Experience translating medical terminology with knowledge of medical billing codes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Basic knowledge of clinical procedures and regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of key medications for treatment and prevention of STIs including HIV
- Experience with HIV and Ryan White services preferred
- Experience working with eClinical Works electronic health record strongly preferred
- Dedication to HIPPA and confidentiality of all client information
- Available to work Saturdays as needed
- Ability to deal calmly and effectively with people in stressful situations
