Life-Science Innovations is seeking a full time HR Generalist who will work in close collaboration with the LSI Human Resources Team and our customers' General Managers, this position provides all human resource services including recruitment and staffing, employee relations, performance management, compensation administration, benefits administration, employee development and training, safety and employee services. Will work collaboratively to best align HR practices with the evolving organization needs and team-oriented structure. This position will be a brand ambassador for the company’s unique company culture.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
HUMAN RESOURCES REPRESENTATION:
- Assist in new employee onboarding process to ensure all new hire paperwork is completed accurately and in compliance with applicable law and procedures.
- Assist in the facilitation of training programs to increase the knowledge, skills and abilities of all employees and leadership.
- Assists in training of leaders on compensation policies, processes and administrative guidelines.
- Collaborate on annual training and development needs, including the execution and follow through of the training and development plans alongside of the People & Culture | Leadership teams.
- Assist in the investigation of accidents | injuries, employee concerns, ETC
- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources functions, including ensuring policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance
- Confers with managers and supervisors to identify talent needs, job specifications, and skills.
- Ensures that all approved positions have an established position description. Where no position description exists, works collaboratively develop and evaluate one.
- Facilitates the extension of employment offers and the completion of all new employee recordkeeping processes
- Facilitates the orientation and on-boarding of all new employees.
- Trains managers and supervisors on employee relations policies and processes.
- Works collaboratively with leadership, managers and staff to sustain strong work relationships, build morale, increase productivity, enhance employee engagement and preserve talent retention.
- Facilitates proactive communications with employees to keep employees aware of important information as it relates to Human Resources.
- Facilitates the implementation, follow-through and documentation of disciplinary action interventions.
- Facilitates employee terminations. Prepares and submits related documentation and conducts exit interviews.
- Responsible for updating and maintaining company policies and handbooks.
- Ensures all team leaders are trained on the performance management process.
- Assists with the development and execution of performance management process.
- Guides managers through performance improvement plan interventions.
- Facilitates all performance management recordkeeping processes.
- Teams up with Life-Science Innovations Training & Development team to ensure managers are trained on employee relations policies and processes
- Conducts job analysis on representative jobs to determine appropriate placement of the jobs in the salary structure in collaboration with LSI’s HR Director & HR Business Partner
- Ensures leaders are trained on compensation policies, processes and administrative guidelines
- Reviews proposals for new or revised classifications to determine appropriate salary grade assignment in collaboration with LSI’s HR Director & HR Business Partner
- Facilitates the administration of various employee benefit plans such as health, dental, life and disability, retirement, PTO (paid time off), leave of absence and non-cash benefit programs.
- Facilitates the annual benefit open enrollment process for the assigned company.
- Assists with the enrollment of new employees into established benefit plans, provides benefit orientation with new employees and assists employees with benefit-related questions.
- Conducts and/or facilitates the provision of required training programs to meet statutory requirements including annual harassment training, “Right – to - Know” training, etc.
- Facilitates the administration of loss control and workers’ compensation processes and programs.
- Leads the investigation of accidents and injuries and assists in the preparation of material evidence for use in hearings, lawsuits and insurance investigations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or equivalent SHRM Certification (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP), is preferred and if not already obtained, is expected within one-year of employment.
- A minimum of two to three years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Strong self-motivation, interpersonal, analytical and negotiation skills required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Sound judgement and decision making.
- Understanding of HR principles and practices
- Computer-based HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to model core values as a representative of the company.
- Ability to communicate openly and concisely with others.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees at all organizational levels. Ensures confidentiality with staff members.
- Must be well organized with extreme attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to define issues, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Bilingual, required.
