Bilingual Patient Engagement Specialist (Remote Eligible) - Clarest Health

CSS Health (a division of Clarest Health) is a software company that supports health insurance companies by providing software solutions and outsourced services. We license software to help manage medical programs, particularly the Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Program required by CMS for Medicare Part D. We also offer outsourced MTM services, utilizing our team of pharmacists, clinicians, and support staff to conduct Comprehensive Medication Reviews (CMRs) for our clients' members. These reviews are crucial for maintaining high star ratings in Medicare Part D programs.

We are seeking a highly motivated and tech-savvy Bilingual Call Center Patient Engagement Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will excel in multitasking, possess and demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and adapt. This role requires exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with patients and provide outstanding support. Successful candidates will need to establish rapport with patients and have experience multitasking within multiple computer applications. This role will transition to a remote position upon the successful completion of the required onsite training.

Location: On Site (for initial training and ramping) - 701 Seneca Street, Suite 602, Buffalo, New York

Work Environment: This job is performed in an office environment during the first 30-60 day training period with the potential of transitioning to remote

Salary: $17/hr (starting)

Schedule: Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct and accept outbound and inbound phone calls with enrolled patients to ensure they are supported per Clarest client program specifications, schedule appointments, and facilitate on-the-spot transfers to our clinical team.
• Perform data entry, including demographic information on patient profiles in our computerized database accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing schedules and work hours as needed.
• Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude when interacting with patients, clients, and coworkers.
• Follow all established Clarest policies and procedures, including but not limited to HIPAA, privacy, and security policies and procedures.
• Perform administrative support functions as needed.
• Perform other duties or tasks, as assigned, or required.
• Attend in-office training between 30-60 days. Demonstrate the ability to retain knowledge and the ability to cross train. Transition to remote work from home after successful completion of training.
• The ability to adhere to Clarest’s Code of Conduct, follow Clarest Compliance policies and procedures, and report any suspected violations of any federal or state laws to either their direct supervisor, Human Resources or the Compliance Officer

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED is required
• At least 1 year of customer service and/or call center experience preferred.
• Understanding of HIPAA, Privacy, Safety, and Compliance guidelines, preferred (will train)

Skills + Abilities:

• Intermediate typing/keyboarding skills
• Demonstrated capability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Fluent in both English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages, to effectively support and interact with diverse clients and team members
• Willingness to work the intended hours and adapt to changing schedules
• Continuously improve knowledge and skills, demonstrating a strong willingness to learn and adapt
• Proficient with computers and comfortable learning new programs. Must have high-speed internet
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and empathetically
