Bilingual Production Control Assistant Manager
Summary of Functions
The Production Control Assistant Manager oversees workflow to ensure smooth operations and handles document creation related purchasing, inventory management, forecasting, and shipping. Responsibilities include issuing purchase orders, monitoring inventory levels, coordinating shipments, expediting orders and coordinating workflow with specialists. The role involves extensive data entry, record updating, and report creation in PowerPoint and Excel, primarily assisting the Manager in information management. The role primarily is assisting the Manager entailing data entry, record, updates, and information management.
Principle Responsibilities
• Distribute production schedules and work orders to relevant departments.
• Review production schedules, customer demand, and work orders to determine material requirements and priorities.
• Maintain inventory levels by conducting regular inventory counts and coordinating with specialists/planners.
• Coordinate with specialists to manage raw material consumption.
• Arrange shipping schedules as necessary and coordinate transportation logistics. • Consult with department supervisors to evaluate progress and make necessary adjustments. • Manage shipping activities and promptly resolve any issues with customers and vendors. • Verify shipment details with suppliers and coordinate transportation arrangements. • Enter data into Excel related to inventories, forecasting, material receiving, transportation, or purchases.
• Create detailed reports in Excel and Power point related to inventories, forecasting, material receiving, transportation, or purchases.
• Create and review purchase orders, coordinating material receiving with specialists or vendors. • Review and create payment request reports.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with a strong emphasis on Excel. • Provide support for layout arrangement on-site as needed, including line marking. • Perform any other assigned duties as necessary.
• Expect and be prepared for overtime on short notice, based on plant operations.
Qualifications
• Degree in related field preferred.
• 5+ years of inventory/production control experience in manufacturing.
• Strong mathematical skills, ability to understand and conduct basic arithmetic and statistical operations.
• Fluent in English and Spanish
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with preferred Advanced Skills in Excel.
• Ability to analyze data, validating accuracy and correcting errors.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize workload.
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
