Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Bilingual Safety Coordinator to oversee and enforce safety protocols across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong construction background, be bilingual in English and Spanish, and possess a proven track record in safety coordination, including field inspections, injury investigations, and OSHA compliance. This role is integral to our safety management team and requires someone who can communicate effectively with diverse teams and ensure safety standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct on-site safety inspections across assigned regions and report findings to branch managers.
• Coordinate safety training sessions, including first aid, CPR, and toolbox talks, for field staff and supervisors.
• Oversee incident investigations and communicate recommendations to mitigate future risks.
• Serve as a liaison between field teams and management, ensuring safety practices are fully understood and followed.
• Maintain OSHA compliance and conduct OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and (if certified) OSHA 500 training sessions.
• Lead by example in enforcing safety regulations and creating a safe work environment across job sites.
• Participate in safety conferences and special training events as required.
• Provide regular updates on safety metrics, including incident rates, training completion, and corrective actions.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
• Successful completion of monthly field inspections and corrective actions.
• Effective incident investigations and documentation within a timely manner.
• Positive feedback from branch managers and field supervisors on safety compliance and communication.
• Demonstrated leadership in conducting regular safety training sessions and maintaining a strong safety culture.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a safety coordination role, preferably within the construction or mechanical contracting sectors.
• Certifications: OSHA 30 required; First Aid and CPR certification.
• Skills: Excellent organizational skills with a self-starting approach; strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• Technical Proficiency: Ability to use safety-related software and reporting tools.
• Other Requirements: Must hold a valid driver’s license and be comfortable with regional travel, including overnight stays as needed for the Las Vegas role.
