Bilingual Spanish LMSW - Tandym

A Preschool in Bayshore is currently seeking a LMSW to join their team.

About the Opportunity:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Assignment Length: Ongoing (Contract to Hire)
• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• Hours: 8a - 3:30p
• Patient Population: Preschool

Responsibilities:

The LMSW will:

• Engage with all the children on caseload in order to provide ongoing assessment and input regarding the child's needs and growth.
• Provide social skills training on an ongoing basis in large/small group settings.
• Conduct initial Social History Evaluations as needed.
• Conduct Routine Based Interviews with the child's classroom team and the child's family in order to provide important psycho social information to aid the team in its work with the child/family.
• Advocate for families and children within the agency, the school district and the community.
• Support the child's family via community outreach and referrals.

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree and Licensure as a School Social Worker in NY State or Master's Degree (60 Credits) in School Psychology - NY State Certification.

Desired Skills:

• Experience working with developmentally delayed children.
• Experience working with community resources, i.e. Child Protective Services, Department of Social Services
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques
