Title: Billing Coordinator
Shift: Flexible work hours, need to work 8hrs between 8:30am and 5:30pm - in office M-F
Pay: $45,000 to $55,000
About our Client:
Our client sells, rents and services waste and recycling equipment across the United States. They provide equipment solutions throughout the waste and recycling industry which encompasses a large customer base and marketplace for us to operate in, leaving them with great opportunities for growth. They are a family owned and operated business that offers flexibility and care for their people, but also offers competitive compensation and benefits. Our client is seeking to expand their team with an immediate need for a Billing Coordinator. This is a newly created position, so the right candidate will help to drive whatever the role looks like for themselves. The role does require someone who can be an independent worker, is very detail oriented, can work cross functionally, and is customer focused. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a fast-paced growing company in a stable industry, reporting to their Business Manager. There is growth potential in the role for the right candidate. Billing Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Preparing invoices: Create and send invoices to clients by mail or electronically
- Maintaining accounts receivable: Work with sales, service, and finance departments to maintain accounts receivable
- Verifying billing accuracy: Ensure customers are billed correctly
- Resolving billing issues: Work with clients and internal departments to resolve billing issues
- Manage collections and follow up process to ensure prompt payment from customers
- Monitoring payments: Track payments, follow up on outstanding balances, and provide reports to management
- Collecting information: Gather information on prices, discounts, shipping rates, and more
- Creating new accounts: Create new accounts for clients as needed
- Work and bill within customers system to input invoices appropriately
- Accept and input payments
- Responding to requests: Respond to requests for analysis of time, billing information, and statistics
About you:
- The successful candidate for this role will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a past billing coordinator role, or has experience with data input and financial understanding.
- Candidates will also possess the following skills, attributes and experiences:
- Basic understanding of financial information
- Ability to develop into a new role within an organization and make it their own
- Proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Teams, and Word.
- Ability to work independently, but also cross functionally as part of a team
- Excellent professional judgment, decision-making ability, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to resolve issues and work with management
- Help to grow our company locally and nationally in a dynamic business environment.
- Ability to understand and want to improve processes
- QuickBooks knowledge & QuickBooks Enterprise experience highly preferred
- Familiar with QuickBooks outside software integrations (highly preferred)
- A/P and A/R system upgrades
- Other accounting system knowledge (preferred)
- Parts and service background (preferred)
Education
- High School Diploma
- Associates degree in related degree is a plus
