Billing Specialist / Administrative Assistant - Millennium Therapy

Millennium Therapy is looking to add a Full-Time or Part-Time Billing Specialist / Administrative Assistant to our staff in Toledo, IA for the outpatient setting. Millennium Therapy is a patient focused, therapist owned, and therapist managed company that operates throughout Iowa, providing Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy in various settings. Our interdisciplinary teams succeed through efficient communication and support from our local home office.

PAY:

$16-$19  Negotiable

Flexible Within 8:00AM - 4:00PM

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT / BILLER QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school education or equivalent experience. 1-2 years prior office experience
• Ability to identify and manage details. Excellent interpersonal and communication and problem-solving skills.  Requires ability to input data and understand Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as other various software.  
• The position involves a high volume of work and requires managing multiple tasks with frequent interruptions. Requires a high level of organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks without supervision. 

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT / BILLER REQUIREMENTS:

• Administrative Assistant is responsible for answering phones, office supplies, and office equipment, assisting all departments, filing, and miscellaneous office duties as needed.
• Regularly run required accounting reports and work identified problems for submission of billing.  Collects payments as appropriate and completes daily cash logs. Verifies each patient’s insurance coverage and obtains prior authorization when required.  Promptly addresses any denied or rejected claims and any outstanding balances for patients or vendors.
• Audits and tracks all information that belongs in patient medical files and ensures all files are completed prior to the closing of the files.  General responsibilities include answering phones, office supplies, and office equipment, and assisting patients, therapists, and vendors.
• Handles the ordering and stocking of office supplies. Handle the supplies, stocking, and maintenance of the office equipment.
• Opening, posting, and distributing mail. Mailing of Birthday cards, Recruitment cards, and miscellaneous mailings as needed.  Copying and typing as needed.
• Filing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
