The Billing Support Specialist contributes to company objectives by providing frontline, billing-related service and call support to internal and external clients as well as partners and vendors.
The Billing Support team is the first line of contact for customers with billing related questions and interacts with all other Accounting Operations teams, including Contracts Processing, Accounts Receivable, Billing Ops, and Collections as well as the F&I, DMS, and other Business leaders and Sales teams.
This is a 12-month W2 contract assignment with the opportunity for contract extension or to transition to a permanent, full-time role based on performance and business needs.
Responsibilities:Responsibilities of the Billing Support Specialist :
- VMRS Coding and Costing of invoices under $500
- Call vendors for invoices
- Index invoices into workflow
- Drag and Drop Invoices
- Able to determine and mark invoices as Work & Cost Complete (WACC)
- Answer inbound inquiries, via phone and email, from external and internal clients related to Billing
- Reviewing, understanding, and conversing with clients regarding their contract terms, invoicing, and accounts receivable balances
- Presenting information to clients clearly and concisely as well as documenting this information appropriately in Salesforce and SAP
- Collaborate within the Finance Team (Contracts, Accounts Receivable, Billing Ops, and Collections) as well as other internal teams (e.g. Sales, Retention, Business Leadership) as needed to resolve all client inquiries
Qualifications of the Billing Support Specialist:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED Certificate
- Minimum 2+ years in a Customer Service Experience or billing position
- Must be able to multitask and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience operating computers and office equipment to perform data entry, send faxes/e-mails, make telephone calls, and make document copies.
- Requires sitting for extended hours entering data and speaking on the phone.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to stay calm in high pressure situations, and speak confidently to internal and external clients
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in the Auto Retailing industry
- Experience with Salesforce and SAP
- VMRS coding and billing experience
