This is a Full-Time Billing & Treatment Plan Coordinator role.

The Billing Coordinator is responsible for posting payments and processing claims utilizing multiple systems for a large dental group. He or She is also required to research and follow up on pending claims and generate reports in accordance with established procedures.
The Billing Coordinator will also work closely with staff at multiple sites to ensure correct and timely claim submission and processing.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to company culture guide and promote a professional and productive work environment
- Keep up-to-date on all third party billing requirements and ADA guidelines
- Communicate with offsite staff
- Answer patient phone calls and contact patients when required
- Review, correct, send and follow up on claims
- Process patient and insurance payments
- Review Explanation of Benefits and carrier guidelines
- Ensure correct posting and allocations of payments in accordance with the established protocol
- Calculate, verify and update patient accounts appropriately
- Run and analyze monthly billing reports for assigned sites
- Maintain a relationship with other departments and sites
- All other assignments as directed by the Billing Manager
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in the Dental Field (Front Desk or Billing)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize.
- Ability to work proficiently and efficiently in a timely manner.
- Ability to utilize multiple computer systems and programs.
- An understanding of dental codes, procedures and billing requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Providers, Office Managers, dental staff, insurance carriers and patients.
- Some knowledge of CDT /CPT and ICD9 codes.
