Location: Muskogee, Oklahoma
Position: Biomedical Equipment Technician
The Biomedical Equipment Technician is responsible for analyzing and repairing various medical equipment systems. Key duties include:

Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Perform emergency service and troubleshooting during surgical cases and on hospital floors, including equipment setup and operational procedure support. Utilize test equipment, interpret diagrams, and replace components as needed.

Preventive Maintenance: Conduct and schedule preventive maintenance with external vendors, including inspections, calibrations, and repairs. Document all work performed.

Equipment Certification: Inspect and certify new equipment, coordinate installation, and recommend maintenance specifications. Conduct electrical safety inspections and performance testing.

Purchasing Recommendations: Advise on specifications for new equipment purchases and suggest replacements for obsolete or damaged equipment.

Documentation Management: Maintain detailed equipment history, including parts, labor, and contract services, and generate reports as needed.

User Training: Instruct staff on equipment operation and safety standards.
Education Requirements:
A High School Diploma or GED is required, with a preference for an Associate's Degree in Biomedical Equipment Service Technology, Electronic Service Technology, or Computer Service Technology from an accredited program or military training.
