About the Job
Burgess Manufacturing is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper who understands basic accounting to join our team. You will be primarily responsible for performing bookkeeping and accounting tasks including managing financial records, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements and reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Proficiency with Sage Accounting System is a plus
Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Daily data entry of receipts, deposits, and bills into Sage..
- Accurately prepare, maintain, and store accounting documents and records.
- Reconciliation of purchase cards.
- Process and mail vendor payments
- Produce and file compliance reports
- Retrieve and sort mail daily.
- Order/restock office supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in bookkeeping is preferred
- Proficiency with Sage Accounting System is a plus
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Highly organized and able to multitask
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to handle and maintain all levels of confidential information
Details:
- 25-40 hrs per week
- M-F; 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
- Holiday, PTO, Vacation, & Sick Leave
- Benefits begin after 90 days
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour depending on experience
