We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of a fast-paced manufacturing company in Hartford, CT. The Bookkeeper will play a critical role in managing day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining organized records. Compensation: $23-$26/hour depending on experience.
Location: East Hartford, CT (on-site)

Key Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including posting transactions to the general ledger.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
- Process payroll and assist with month-end closing activities.
- Prepare financial reports for management review.
- Collaborate with external accountants during audits and tax preparation.
- Maintain organized and accurate documentation of all financial transactions.
Preferred Bookkeeper Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in accounting or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience as a Bookkeeper.
- 2+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
