About the Job
We are currently working with a local firm located in Holyoke, MA who is actively seeking 2 bookkeepers for immediate hire. This position requires someone who has a background in Public Accounting. Hybrid work schedule with potential of going fully remote. Permanent position.
The Bookkeeper will perform the following:
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Handle daily financial transactions, including recording payments, deposits, and payroll, ensuring all entries are correctly coded and categorized.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and supporting information, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree
- 3+ years of experience
- Experience with QuickBooks (Intermediate to advanced level)
- Has a background in Public Accounting (Required)
- Strong spreadsheet skills
- Team player
