Job Overview:The Retail Attendant is responsible for assisting all guests with purchases, helping them locate and decide on needed items.
Responsibilities:- Provide a warm welcome to our internal and external guests.
- Promote sales by using suggestive selling techniques.
- Operates cash register and credit card machine to take money and make change.
- Unpacking and tagging all merchandise that is for re-sale.
- Checks shelves and processes inventory.
- Keep store rooms clean and well organized.
- Re-stock merchandise for sale as needed.
Education/Formal Training
High school education or equivalent experience.
Experience
Prior experience in a cash handling position. Three months or more of retail/sales related experience is preferred
Knowledge/Skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Must have exceptional organization skills

- Lifting, pushing, pulling or carrying -lift inventory, boxes up to 40 lbs
- Bending/kneeling -bending required to stock and clean the shop; kneeling required to assist in inventory and guest service.
- Mobility -needs to be able to move around shop to assist guest, stock merchandise, control loss, dust all areas of the shop, vacuum the shop, reach high hanging merchandise.
- Continuous standing -clerk will stand behind the register as the posted perch area, when not assisting guests on the floor or conducting inventory/cleaning duties.
- Climbing stairs of approximately 1 step 50% of 8 hour shift; climbing ladders of approximately 6 feet 30% of 8 hour shift.

Work inside 95% shift.
