Branch Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
Essential Functions

1. Coach team members with regards to sales and service in an effort to meet or exceed sales and service goals on a monthly and annual basis
2. Coach Assistant Branch Manager in order to ensure that they are meeting all of the standards of their position
3. Maintain communication between the branch and the Director of Retail by preparing daily, weekly, and month-end reports regarding operations and productivity
4. Formulate recommendations and provides feedback to branch team regarding operational policies and procedures
5. Maintain control over audit procedures, ensuring that the branch is in compliance with federal laws and regulations, set forth by the National Credit Union Administration and other regulatory agencies
6. Monitor office activity, including number of transactions, loan volume, and sales volume
7. Motivate staff to cross-sell the credit union’s products & services & ensure they’re abreast of procedural changes
8. Schedule, supervise, and motivate branch staff in an effort to maintain optimal member service satisfaction levels
9. Complete annual and mid-year performance evaluations for the Assistant Branch Manager and FSRs; Deliver reviews in a timely, professional manner
10. Monitor quality of service for members and ensure that employees are maximizing opportunities to cross-sell products
11. Assist in managing the security and safety of the branch, ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed by staff
12. Assist in the interviewing, hiring, and training of new branch employees
13. Tactfully resolve member concerns & inquiries in a manner consistent with credit union values
14. Resolve team conflicts and reinforce respectful communication with other departments
15. May perform duties of member service representative or other operational position, on an as needed basis
16. Maintain knowledge of One Detroit Credit Union’s products and services, operational policies and procedures, by-laws, and philosophy
17. Adhere to the credit union’s uniform policy and demonstrate professional, business-like appearance

This job requires compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, the USA PATRIOT Act, and related 1DCU procedures. Related responsibilities include but are not limited to: the Member Identification Program for new members, the maintenance of member identifying information for existing members, identifying potential high-risk accounts at account opening, and the reporting of suspicious activity, including insider abuse, as directed. The role includes that management and support of subordinate team members’ responsibilities in these areas.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position directs subordinate supervisors who are responsible for the performance management of employees and processes within the branch.
Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role , requiring use of typical office equipment such as a computer and printers. Most work is completed in an office environment. Walking around the branch and addressing employees and supervisors is required.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours worked may exceed 40 hours per week.
Travel
Local travel may be expected, up to 10%
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
1. Associate's degree, or some college level course work preferred
2. Five or more years of managerial experience in a banking/credit union environment
3. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

1. Bachelor's degree in a related field
