Work Schedule: Tues - Fri 5pm - 9pm, and Sat from 2pm - 6pm
Primary Duties/Brief Description of Work:
The person in this position will perform a variety of light to moderate housekeeping duties in City government facilities. This individual will prepare the facility for opening by completing such duties as cleaning and sanitizing of restrooms, offices, hallways and conference & meeting rooms. Additional duties will include, but are not limited to: sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors, washing walls, woodwork and fixtures, and emptying trash & recyclable receptacles. The successful candidate must have experience using the following tools of the trade: mop bucket/wringer, microfiber cleaning cloths, wet/dust mops, brooms, janitorial cart, vacuum cleaners, hip vacuum, warning wet floor signage, scrapers, etc. The physical functions of the job require walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling and the ability to move or lift 10 lbs. This employee will also be responsible for requisitioning necessary cleaning supplies to the supervisor. Applicant should be able to read and follow instructions and must maintain a reliable means of transportation to work locations.
This job is Non-Exempt and is subject to the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
