Job Title: Outside Sales Representative - Lumber Framing Packages & Construction Materials
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for selling lumber framing packages and other construction materials to builders, contractors, and construction companies. You will build strong relationships, identify customer needs, and provide solutions that enhance their projects and overall efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction industry, focusing on builders and contractors.
- Relationship Management: Establish and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Product Knowledge: Gain in-depth knowledge of our lumber framing packages and other construction materials to effectively communicate features and benefits to clients.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Presentations & Proposals: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to meet the specific needs of clients.
- Order Management: Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products and manage customer inquiries regarding orders and inventory.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and forecasts using our CRM system.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in the construction or building materials industry.
- Strong understanding of lumber framing packages and construction materials.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to analyze market data and identify trends.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
