About the Job
Seeking a Business Analyst 4 for a long-term contract role with a State Government organization in Fredericksburg, VA.
- Support of the fiscal, budgetary, and accounting operations for AMD. Plans, organizes, develops, maintains, and coordinates the development and implementation of fiscal operations, processes, policies and procedures for the MN program.
- Support development of the annual agency's MN budget and reviews statewide expenditure and spend plan data. Will perform monthly program/project expense analysis and assist with the review and analysis of MN expenditures and budgets. Will be responsible for supporting executive decision making and presenting the financial aspects of projects to senior management. Requires understanding budgeting and accounting with the ability to analyze complex business problems and recommend solutions.
- Provide good customer service to internal team members & external customers, comprehensive analytical skills (Excel, MS Word), being an effective communicator, as well as being self-motivated and showing initiative while accomplishing the task at hand.
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on contract-related matters to ensure compliance with contract requirements, monitoring contractor performance and payment, resolved disputes and contractual issues, develop and manage relationships with external contractors and organize and manage contractual documents.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of performance metrics, measurements, methods, and targets to promote financial accountability, and assist in identifying performance improvement opportunities.
