S ummary of Watchdog Project
The On-Prem environmental monitoring platform is out of support and obsolete. This is a critical capability in the support of Veterinary Sciences monitoring and control. To ensure consistent support and future enhancement of laboratory environmental monitoring, we need to move to a modern cloud-based SaaS platform.
This project will support Veterinary Science labs in central NJ, Redwood City California, position for new capabilities implementation in San Diego & Brisbane California.
Responsibilities IT Business Analysis
Work with Informatics teams, IT Quality Management and CSV peers, and Research Scientific groups to plan Business Analysis activities and refine project plan
Coordinate stakeholder assessments and management of stakeholders/sponsors. Act as a liaison to ensure shared understanding, manage expectations, and resolve any conflicts or ambiguities related to requirements.
Collaborate with Informatics teams, subject matter experts, and stakeholder scientific groups to understand, gather, and validate formal business requirements.
Understand the workflows, processes, and datasets involved in the various business processes and their evolution in a data-centric environment.
Generate cohesive documentation of:
Business processes / process maps (As Is To Be)
Requirements documents (BRDs) & Use cases
Validation requirements & specification
Functional / Non-Functional and Technical specifications; inclusive of Agile representation (EPICS, User Stories, Issues, etc.)
UAT Test plans & scripts; inclusive of execution & validation
Identify instances where existing processes may be streamlined or improved
Manage and maintain all requirements materials and traceability matrices. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, requirements, design documents.
Capture and manage clear mapping of business rules, security, and data governance needs
Develop UAT plans, test cases, and scenarios based on requirements. Conduct UAT, facilitate defect tracking, and ensure that the developed data product meets user expectations.
Support agile approaches and participate in lessons learned sessions and provide feedback to improve future data product development processes.
Articulate and communication requirements to development teams. Collaborate with digital capability managers, architects, and vendor engineers to ensure successful deployment of an effective, usable, and trustworthy product.
Assist with communication to business & stakeholder management activities
Assist informatics team and project sponsor in executing a communication and change management strategy in support of project execution and rollout
Skills Required
At least 4 years of prior experience working in an analyst capacity on large and/or complex projects in the Bio /Pharmaceutical Industry; preferred in a Validated environment and/or in laboratories with veterinary sciences, subject welfare and husbandry operations.
Working knowledge of early stage research and discovery; preferred experience in Pre-Clinical and Non-Clinical domains; Veterinary Science IT experience a strong plus.
Experience in an analyst capacity on third party vendor provided COTS products
Experience with Agile practices, inclusive of Agile with Validated deliverables.
Proven ability in gathering, tracing, translating and managing complex requirements, business rules, and data
Proficient in story-mapping, User Journeys, UI mockups & prototyping
Excellent oral and written communication skills including technical writing / documentation; organizes and presents ideas in a convincing and compelling manner
Exceptional interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams; able to provide technical leadership
Outgoing personality; self-starter able to work interactively and independently with stakeholders
Possess strong business acumen; possess a broad, enterprise-wide view and understanding of strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
Bachelors or Master's Degree in computer science, engineering, physical sciences, or life sciences
Experience with process modeling tools (ARIS, Visio, etc.) to identify, capture, define, and analyze business processes
Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Formal Business Analysis Certification; IIBA ECBA/CCBA/CBAP Certification or PMI-PBA a strong plus
