The ideal candidate for this role will have a proven track record in business development or entrepreneurial program/project management and be dedicated to customer satisfaction.
U.S. Citizenship and the ability to pass a Federal government security clearance are mandatory. While this role accommodates telecommuting, candidates must be located in the Washington, DC, area for in-person meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute sales and capture plans to optimize revenue and profit growth within targeted accounts, including DoD (Navy, AF, Army, USMC), DHS (ICE, TSA, CBP). DHHS (FDA, CDC, CMS), and Treasury (IRS)
- Cultivate direct relationships with decision-makers and prime sub-contracting firms in Civilian and Defense agencies to secure new contract wins and revenue.
- Independently generate leads to meet pipeline objectives without relying on external tools.
- Manage the opportunity pipeline, ensuring accuracy and currency of data.
- Lead the entire life cycle of business development, capture strategy, and proposal strategy for targeted opportunities.
- Collaborate with proposal development teams to effectively communicate HyerTek's value for each targeted opportunity.
- Lead/support the negotiation and coordination of contracting and delivery of client agreements.
- Collaborate with clients and operational staff to ensure satisfaction, successful execution, and continuation/recompete of contracts.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in applying sales methodology, technique, and best practices.
- Minimum of 4 years in the government IT industry, with at least 2 years leading sales efforts in a government business development or technical capacity.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, organize, and lead problem-resolution efforts in a fast-paced environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of technologies used and trends in government technology.
- Strong experience in facilitating and mediating discussions.
- Demonstrated ability to instruct and lead others.
- Proficiency in capture management, proposal development, leadership, delivery, and other sales and technical documentation production.
- Track record of working independently, demonstrating creativity and responsibility in all tasks without waiting for direction from others.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Sandler, Miller-Heiman or Shipley Associates training preferred
