Business Development Manager, Aero Test Services, Wind Tunnel - Calspan Corporation

We are seeking an expereinced Business Development Manager to with the ability to increase the Sales Revenue and EBITDA of the Aerospace Test Services group by maintaining and enhancing relationships with the existing customer base,  while expanding the customer base across the global Aerospace industry. This posiiton is located in our Buffalo, NY office.

Responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities Listed Below – Compensation and position level commensurate with education and experience.

• Identify and close new business opportunities for the Aerospace Test Services/Wind Tunnel group. Work directly with major government agencies, OEM’s, Aerospace companies and other commercial enterprises to demonstrate the value and expertise of Calspan.
• Directly manage the designated core customer base from a retention and growth standpoint. Participate in the development of project proposals and spend the necessary time with customers to present and document the value and identify new opportunities. Develop strong working relationships with internal and external business partners.  Provide regular and accurate feedback for revenue/profit forecasts.
• Develop and publish the technical and business proposals to drive Wins in the Aero Test Services group.

• Professionally represent the company at various business conferences, trade shows and community events. Increase our visibility within the technical/lecture communities.

Qualifications:

Preferred Education / Experience:

• Bachelors/Masters in a business and/or engineering related discipline
• 7+ years in related discipline;
• Previous experience in sales/ business development position or;
• A combination of education and experience equivalent to above
• To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government. 

Preferred Knowledge / Ability:

• Proven track record of meeting domestic and international sales objectives in a technical consultative selling environment
• Strong working knowledge of government & commercial contracts; ability to navigate the landscape in both arenas and effectively communicate market
• Existing relationships with aerospace OEM’s
• Strategic thinker, passionate about driving growth, customer management/relationship building skills
• Superior verbal and written communications skills; expertise in writing documents and presentations in a highly dynamic environment
• A self-starter, risk taking, highly innovative individual with strong organizing and time management skills to handle multiple priorities, responsibilities and customer needs.

The salary range provided is a general guideline. Actual pay will depend on several factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and other applicable qualifications.  Calspan is committed to pay transparency in compliance with applicable state and local laws.

Salary Range (min):USD $80,000.00/Yr.Salary Range (max):USD $120,000.00/Yr.
