Essential Functions:
- The Business Development Manager will grow Vine Line Produce’s retail grocery segment, while building a platform that sells to independent retail grocers and distributor network throughout geographic territory.
- In this role the successful candidate will become an essential leader, responsible to create a business that delivers to the corporate objectives.
- Efficiently develop, while collaborating with the Sales Team, strategic business plans to penetrate the specific retail grocery accounts.
- This role will succeed by thinking outside-the-box through analytical skills, strategic planning, negotiation skills and attention-to-detail approach.
- Solicit, evaluate, and advocate for customer product and feature requests to improve offerings and service on existing and prospect accounts.
- The right candidate must be able to communicate effectively in a professional manner through in-person conversation, phone calls, email, virtual meetings, and instant messaging.
- Remote role with required 80% travel between company/customer sites in the surrounding areas of Michigan.
Competencies, Education, and Skills:
- Valid identification or driver’s license (if appropriate)
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
- At least 1 year of Retail Grocery Channel
- At least 1 year of Customer-Team Experience
- Experience Conceptual Selling
- Proficient PC skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and common E Mail systems
- Ability to work closely with others in a team environment and independently
Compensation Structure:
- Base salary + Commission + Bonus
