We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join our Vice President in building our future.
This position manages the client contact program and will initiate and develop business relationships with potential clients to secure new business. This position will report directly to the Vice President of AME Consulting Engineering and help shape and build our future.
Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager
- Manage client-contact program
- Initiate and develop contact with potential clients and work with principals to secure new clients and projects
- Represent the firm to clients, peer organizations, and business associates
- Maintain a high profile in professional marketing and community organizations
- Seek business opportunities for firm
- Research and gather information on potential clients and projects
- Conduct market research to identify emerging markets, new clients, and other opportunities
- Schedule meetings with new/existing clients to discover project information
- Develop and maintain strong business network
- Participate in client organizations
- Manage client satisfaction program
- Work within a short- and long-term pursuit cycle
Qualifications for the Business Development Manager
- Bachelor's degree with 4-7 years AEC experience recommended
- Without degree, 6-10 years AEC experience required
- Thorough understanding of the AEC industry terminology and procedures
- Professional demeanor that enables the candidate to interact with the highest levels both inside and outside AME
- Excellent organizational skills
- Drive, hardworking, takes pride in their work
- Persistent, able to follow through in a consistent manor and document efforts
- Experience tracking efforts and meeting benchmarks
