Overview:
As a Civil Business Development Manager specializing in industrial dirt operations, you will be responsible for driving growth and expanding our client base within the industrial sector. This role involves identifying business opportunities, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and executing strategic initiatives to increase market share and revenue in the realm of industrial dirt services.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Growth Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies focused on the industrial dirt sector. Identify new markets, niches, and opportunities for expansion within the industrial domain.
Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and nurture relationships with existing and potential clients in the industrial sector. Understand client needs, requirements, and industry trends to tailor solutions and offerings accordingly.
Sales and Revenue Generation: Drive sales efforts to meet or exceed revenue targets by actively pursuing new business opportunities. Prepare and present proposals, bids, and contracts to secure projects and partnerships.
Market Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks. Stay updated on industry developments, technological advancements, and regulatory changes affecting industrial dirt operations.
Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, engineering, and finance, to ensure seamless project execution and delivery. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align strategies and leverage resources effectively.
Reporting and Forecasting: Generate regular reports, including sales forecasts, market analysis, and progress updates for senior management. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and adapt strategies as necessary to achieve objectives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Construction Management degree is nice but not necessary. Experience preferred.
- Proven experience 8+ years in business development or sales within the civil construction or industrial sector, preferably in dirt operations.
- Strong understanding of civil construction practices, industrial construction, and dirt management practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to drive results and meet/exceed targets.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant business tools.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and project site visits.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
