Business Development Manager – Your Mission
Your mission is to expand the Company footprint, specifically through identifying and securing clients in the renewable energy, infrastructure (energy, water, technologies that make the world better) space.
Business Development Manager – Your Daily Impact:
You will utilize the ZoHo CRM system and your sales knowledge and experience to:
- Identify and prospect for potential clients – specifically within the renewable energy, infrastructure sector (ie: decarbonization, water, technologies)
- Set and conduct meetings with prospective clients and referral partners to articulate the company’s value proposition, building relationships and following up to maintain communication
- Create and present proposals to prospective clients
- Regularly report on sales activities, pipeline status and revenue projections
- Monitor results according to sales budget and sales goals
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes and emerging opportunities in the sustainable energy industry (including occasional conferences)
Business Development Manager– What You Bring (RequiredSkills, Experience & Personality Fit)
You have:
- Experience in a sales role and an understanding of the sales cycle, from initial prospecting through ongoing client check ins and relationship management
- Excitement to work with an entrepreneurial growing company as part of a small team
- Desire for maximizing your earnings potential – you are driven by commission potential
- Ability to travel frequently for customer meetings
Business Development Manager–You Might Have (Desired, Not Required)
You might have:
- Previous experience selling professional services to construction companies in the public works / infrastructure, renewable energy, AEC or related sectors
- Previous experience working in marketing, communications or PR in a sales or account manager role
Compensation base salary $80,000 plus commissions, paid monthly. Anticipated OTE $160k+ annually. (You earn monthly commission based on the company’s monthly billings which means your commission potential grows as you continue to grow company’s book of business!!)
May include additional commission and bonus opportunities.
You will work 100% remotely from your home office with frequent travel to visit customer accounts throughout California (driving, day drips). Occasional overnight travel for conferences.
