Job Description:
We are seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to create, maintain, and support BI reporting tools (Tableau, MicroStrategy, OTBI) and Enterprise Data Warehouses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL scripts and ETL routines to support Enterprise Business Intelligence initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and support BI and reporting applications using Power BI, Tableau, and other BI tools.
- Convert legacy reports and dashboards into Tableau worksheets and mobile applications according to project requirements.
- Design and develop various dashboards, storyboards, and KPIs using Tableau.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and clarify change requests and enhancements.
- Plan and monitor projects, reporting development and implementation status to management using project management tools.
- Analyze and evaluate data within a data lake and data warehouse environment, focusing on data design and database architecture.
- Translate functional specifications into detailed technical documentation.
- Create database connections and multi-source connectors to integrate data from various sources into Tableau dashboards.
- Optimize complex SQL queries to reduce Snowflake compute costs and minimize dashboard load times.
- Support and troubleshoot production issues, and train technical teams and end-users on report navigation.
- Create test cases, conduct UAT, and perform debugging and bug fixing as needed.
- Work under supervision and be open to travel and/or relocation to unanticipated client sites throughout the USA.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, IS, Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Twelve (12) months of experience in the job offered or as an IT Consultant, Analyst, Programmer, Developer, Engineer, or in a closely related field.
- Twelve (12) months of experience working with Tableau and Power BI is required.
