Business Office Specialist - United Surgical Partners International

USPINorthwest Surgery Centeris seeking a motivated Business Office Specialistto join our team. Conveniently located on the Ascension Seton Northwest Hospital campus. We have 7 OR rooms and 1 Procedure room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in ENT, General, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, Pain Management, Podiatry, Urology. We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday, schedule subject to be changed based on surgical schedule and flow of day. The candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings.

Job Summary:The Business Office Specialist interfaces with patients and families, physicians and staff. Admit patients and process their paperwork. Update patient demographics/information in system. Collect monies due and document in billing system. Handle funds per office procedure. You have the opportunity to meet new people and build professional relationships with physician offices. Cross training for other Business Office positions a possibility.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• One year of medical experience in insurance verification, billing or collection
• Ambulatory Surgery environment strongly desired
• Must have the ability to effectively present information
• Basic math skills
• Computer competency
