Job Summary and Qualifications
Business Office Specialist
As a Business Office Specialist, you will contribute to the company’s mission, vision, and values by coordinating the daily operations of the business office. You will oversee functions of scheduling, chart preparation, patient registration, insurance verification and collecting patient deposits.
What you will do in this role:
- Ensure that assigned areas are staffed by coordinating your team’s schedule daily
- You will be responsible for completing chart preparation, data entry, collections, insurance verification and pre-certification as required by insurance plans
- You will reconcile daily front office collections
- Workwith the nurse manager and/or nurse coordinator to ensure your daily schedule is streamlined
- You will be responsible for opening and/or closing procedures of the facility
What Qualifications you will need:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical office setting highly preferred (i.e. ambulatory surgery center, hospital, doctors office)
- Lead or supervisory experience preferred
Greenview Surgery Center is located in Bowling Green, Kentucky. We serve the residents of Warren County and surrounding areas of southern Kentucky. Our center opened in the fall of 2019. We are a part of Surgery Ventures powered by HCA Healthcare and the first center in Kentucky. We are located off of I-65. The center is in near the Corvette plant and Museum and Western Kentucky University. Our AAAHC certified center performs over 275 cases a month. We offer ENT, endoscopy, gastroenterology, gynecology, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, orthopedics, plastics and urology services.
