Business Services Executive
Position Overview: First Commerce Credit Union is looking for a Business Service Executive. A person who is exceptionally motivated and a networker of influence to turn business & sales leads into long lasting member service relationships. In this role, you will spend most of your time outside the financial center as a representative of First Commerce Credit Union, cultivating existing business, generating new sales/account opportunities, and helping to make us a financial partner for life for the communities & members we serve.
The Business Services Executive is responsible for addressing the financial services needs of the businesses, professional associations, and entrepreneurs of our community. They are responsible for both individual and commercial sales productivity as well as coaching and mentoring Financial Center Managers, Commercial Services Specialists, and Financial Services Officers.
Position Duties/Responsibilities:
- Generates new members and understands how to build commercial relationships by developing and cross selling a portfolio of products and services for the credit union. Utilizes personal contacts, financial center network, and centers of influence to expand our Business Services base.
- Completely profiles new and existing members to ensure needs are met through cross-selling of deposits, credit, convenience and personal products. Follows up on all commercial accounts to ensure we have fully met all the personal and business needs.
- Coaches and provides mentorships to the Commercial Services Team members as well as the entire financial center team to uncover needs and opportunities among both current and potential business members. Works with Commercial Service Specialists and Financial Service Officers in the financial center to increase comfort and effectiveness with business members and prospects. Handles or oversees all business credit applications.
- Identifies consumer product needs and opportunities among business owners and refers to Financial Services Officers or other credit union team members to effectively capture and close the business.
- Works with the financial centers' existing book of business members to ensure business and personal cross-sell, capture of entire relationship, and improved member retention to increase financial center balance and revenue growth.
- Participates in a wide range of community events representing First Commerce's commitment to meeting the needs of our community through products, services, time and talent.
- Performs job duties in accordance with policies established by the Board of Directors under the rules and regulations set by the National Credit Union Administration, the State of Georgia and any applicable State laws for financial centers located in other States.
- Complies with Reg E, BSA, OFAC and CIP requirements such as reporting suspicious or unusual activity to manager.
- Fully supports in actions and words First Commerce's Vision, Mission, Core Values and Service Standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Self-confident, self-starter with strong willpower and drive.
- Sophisticated and hardworking with solid relationship management and sales prospecting skills (including ability to partner, influence, advise and acquire).

Position Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5+ years successful commercial services or credit union/banking experience and/or commercial lending experience with proven analytical skills.
- A minimum of 2+ years Financial Services experience as a Personal Banker, Financial or Member Service Officer or Financial Center or Services Manager.
- Thorough knowledge of commercial products and services, policies and procedures, and underwriting requirements.
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited university will substitute for years of experience. Preferably BS/BA in Business, Business Administration, Finance, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Business Management, Marketing; MBA; MSM; OR other related fields.
- Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience.
