Description:

Entech Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join a leading thermoforming and injection molding manufacturer in the Flint, MI area. In this role, you will be responsible for creating innovative product and tooling designs, contributing to a dynamic team. This is a day shift position, offering competitive pay between $25.00 and $30.00 per hour, based on experience.

Key Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience with CAD design, particularly in plastics.

• Proficiency in SolidWorks with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience.

• Experience with Thermoform Design/Tooling for Manufacturing is required.

• Strong understanding of injection molding and the ability to design injection and blow molds.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Problem-solving mindset, capable of working through complex design challenges with minimal supervision.

• Ability to handle multiple projects (5-6 designs) simultaneously, adapting to shifting priorities.

Responsibilities:

• Create detailed product and tooling designs for thermoforming.

• Generate design concepts with precision, meeting deadlines consistently.

• Attend and contribute to design reviews, both internal and with customers, ensuring that design changes are implemented accurately.

• Participate in part fitting processes, identifying necessary adjustments.

• Support the company's quality systems and adhere to safety protocols.

• Collaborate with the team to maintain a productive, creative work environment.

Requirements:

• Must pass a drug screen, physical exam, and background check.

• Ability to thrive in a manufacturing environment, which includes exposure to loud noise, temperature shifts, and physical demands such as lifting molds and trays up to 40 lbs regularly.

• Willingness to wear appropriate PPE and adhere to safety policies.
